Drutojan Express (Train No. 757) connects Dhaka with Dinajpur in northwestern Bangladesh, serving the Rangpur division's agricultural heartland. "Drutojan" translates to "swift people" in Bengali, reflecting the train's purpose of providing expedited service to the communities of northern Bangladesh. The journey covers over 430 kilometres and passes through Bogura, Rangpur, and Saidpur before terminating at Dinajpur — the ancient city known for the Kantaji Temple and Ramsagar lake. Drutojan Express offers Shovan Chair and Shovan classes, making it affordable for the farmers, students, and government employees who form its primary ridership. The northern railway corridor through which Drutojan runs passes through some of Bangladesh's most productive agricultural land — the tobacco fields of Rangpur, the potato farms of Bogura, and the fine rice paddies of Dinajpur that produce the prized Kataribhog and Chinigura varieties.

Drutojan Express was established to provide a second major intercity service to Dinajpur, complementing the Ekota Express (705/706). Dinajpur's significance as a district dates back to the ancient Pala dynasty, and its Kantaji Temple is one of the finest examples of terracotta temple architecture in the Indian subcontinent. The railway link to Dinajpur has been vital for integrating this historically important but geographically remote district with the national economy.
